We mourn the passing of Willis Edwards, Civil Rights Pioneer and Icon

On July 14, 2012, civil rights and poltical activist Willis Edwards passed away, at the age of 66.   Mr. Edwards was the former leader of the Beverly Hills-Hollywood Branch of the NAACP, was key in launching the NAACP Image Awards, helping it to gain a national audience, and was well known in local and national Democratic Party circles.  He will be missed, but his legacy lives on.  ...
